Ghana is situated in West Africa, it’s is eight times the size of the Netherlands and has a population of twenty three million people. one fifth of them lives in the Capital Accra. Ghana is one of the most is stable and peaceful countries in Africa. English is the main language beside diverse locale languages.In the East of Ghana, between the Lake Volta and Togo lies the Volta Region. Which is as big as halve of the Netherlands with the total population of 1.3 million. Most of the people work on their farm for less than one euro a day. The distance between the fertile farmlands and the use of primitive tools is often the reason of low profit and the harvest is often just enough for their own use.The average life span is 57 years for women and 55 for man. One out of five children dies before the age of five. Roughly 50% of the population is younger than 16 years. Most of the Ghanaians look upon the Volta Region as a poor region. It battles with high unemployment, bad health, poor educational institutions and a large number of analphabetic, especially under women. The food is one-sided and there is not enough access o clean drinking water.
